Axminster Health & Wellbeing Centre is a non profit making, community based charity that promotes health and wellbeing.
Aided by a team of professionals and volunteers, the Centre inspires a wider understanding of the benefits of a healthy mind and body, by supporting people’s physical, emotional social and spiritual needs.
Our project Wellbeing Services for All was launched in September 2018 and has just come to the end of its first year. It has been a huge success and is now waiting for further funding before continuing…
The project was helped by The Big Lottery, The Norman Family Charitable Trust, Co-op, and Tesco Bags of Help and a team of fully qualified, insured and registered therapists.
Services available within this scheme were: Acupuncture, Allergy Testing, Bowen, Counselling, Craniosacral Therapy, Homeopathy, Hypnotherapy, Lymphatic drainage, Massage, Myofascial Release, Nutrition, Osteopathy, Reflexology, Scar Work, Yoga, Mindfulness, Pilates, Qigong and Tripudio.
People can self refer or ask to be referred by their GP or Medical Practitioner.
Special rates were available for people with no or limited income, carers and students.
